Biography

Jacqueline Heinen is Professor Emeritus of Sociology. She has headed the French academic journal Cahiers du Genre, been a member of the European Commission's expert group on humanities and chaired the French National Council of Universities. Her recent work focuses on abortion, the weight of religions on the status of women and social and family policies from a gender perspective.
