Hélène Marquié

Biography

Professor of arts and gender studies at the university, associate of biology, choreographer, feminist, Hélène Marquié's research focuses on the articulations between arts and culture (more particularly dance and performing arts) and gender, on the relations between aesthetics and politics, the history of dance, the constructions and representations of gendered bodies, as well as the processes of creation. She was responsible for gender equality at the University of Paris 8 from 2017 to 2019.
