Biography

Nicole Savy is a specialist in 19th century literature, in particular the romantic novel (Victor Hugo, George Sand). Her research focuses on representations and stereotypes of women and Jews and their relationship to history. After having headed the cultural department of the Musée d'Orsay, she is attached to the Hugo group of the University of Paris-Diderot (CERILAC).
