Camille Boutron has a doctorate in sociology, specializing in gender issues in armed conflict situations, and more particularly in the participation of women in conflicts and in the construction of peace. After living for more than ten years in Latin America where she conducted all of her fields of investigation (Peru, Colombia), she integrated the Institute for Strategic Studies in Paris (IRSEM) where she led investigations on the feminization of armies and policies promoting gender equality in international security. She is currently a researcher at the Institute for Peace
