Biography

After a thesis on Nathalie Sarraute and university research, Pascale Fautrier turned to a more narrative writing, interested in biography: she wrote on Chopin, Napoleon Bonaparte and Hildegarde de Bingen. In her two films on Simone de Beauvoir as in her writing work, she wondered about how an individual manages to forge a personal path in a physiological, psycho-emotional, family, social context. and history which limits and conditions its possibilities of singular expression.
