Biography

Archivist-paleographer, former member of the École française de Rome, Caroline Giron Panel holds a doctorate in history (University of Grenoble) and musicology (Università Ca'Foscari - Venice). Specializing in the relationship between music and genre, she devoted her thesis to the ospedali of Venice and published several books and numerous articles on female musical practices. Her areas of interest cover all questions relating to genre and musical practice, from castrati to punk singers.
