Biography

Mathilde Larrère is a lecturer at UPEM. After defending a thesis on the National Guard under the July Monarchy, she focused her research on the question of citizenship, and on the revolutionary situations of the first 19th century (1830-1848).
She is a specialist in political and social history of the first 19th century. She has also worked on the place of minorities and minorities in politics. Columnist on Médiapart with Laurence De Cock and on Freeze frame, she oversees historical popularization.
