Biography

Esther Fouchier, founder of the Forum Femmes Méditerranée, general delegate of the French network of the Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF), is a women's rights activist.

Since 1986, she has been leading writing workshops. She initiated an international project supported by ALF “Le verbe au féminin” and created the Mediterranean Women's Publications Salon, which meets every year in Marseille, as well as the “Le temps des femmes” event. She conducts training in income-generating activities in Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco to promote the economic autonomy of women.
