Biography

Marie-Xavière Catto is a lawyer, specialist in bioethics law and the issue of gender in law.
Lecturer in public law at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, she teaches there in particular constitutional law and the philosophy of law.
His research focuses on the question of the economic use of the human body, the circulation of its elements and products (organs, tissues, gametes) and experimentation. She also works on the binary nature of civil status (trans and intersex) in their medical and civil aspects.
