Biography

Cécile Heim teaches and does her doctoral thesis at the University of Lausanne. She specializes in Native North American Studies, North American Literature, and Gender Studies. Her research analyzes representations of violence against Indigenous women in the novels of four Indigenous authors: Louise Erdrich, Frances Washburn, Eden Robinson and Katherena Vermette. She has published articles in journals such as The Journal of Popular Culture and has presented her research at numerous international conferences.
