Biography

Sociologist, Glòria Casas Vila is an associate researcher at the Antígona Center on Women and Law (Autonomous Univ. Of Barcelona) and at THEMA (Univ. Of Lausanne). She works on macho violence against women, with a special interest in issues related to family law (shared custody of children, family mediation). Specializing in feminist theories, the analysis of public policies on violence and socio-legal debates on prostitution in Europe, she did her doctorate on the implementation of the Spanish law against gender violence.
