Biography

Hazal Atay is a doctoral student in comparative politics, specializing in gender and citizenship in Turkey. Affiliated with CEVIPOF, she has published on abortion in Islamic and Middle Eastern jurisprudence, the Kurdish women's movement, citizenship and women's representation in Turkey. She also works at the Women on Web association, which aims to ensure access to abortion in countries with restrictive laws, as a program coordinator.
