Biography

Valentine Becquet is a demographer, working on sexual and reproductive health and gender (recourse to abortion, obstacles to the use of contraception, gender preferences in reproductive behavior) in France and in various countries of the Global South, researcher at the French National Institute of Demographic Studies (INED). She has lived and carried out extensive research in Laos, Vietnam and more recently in Côte d'Ivoire, keeping as a common thread the vulnerabilities of women in their sexual and reproductive rights.
