Pauline Mortas is a doctoral student in history at the Center d'histoire du XIXe siècle. She is a specialist in the history of sexualities in the 19th and 20th centuries. Her thesis focuses on the development of a market dedicated to sexuality in France between the 1870s and 1930s. She is the author of the book Une rose épineuse. Defloration in France in the 19th century (Rennes, PUR, 2017).
