Biography

Héloïse Thomas (pronouns: she/they) is a PhD student in American studies, specializing in 20C/21C North American literatures and cultures, through a feminist, lesbian/queer, and decolonial lens. Their thesis, "Archive, Empire, Apocalypse," studies representations of history, futurity, and catastrophe in contemporary U.S. literature. A former student of the ENS de Lyon, she teaches at the university-level, with courses including American literature, translation, and terminology, and participates in the FELiCiTE project on feminist translation studies.
