Biography

Julie Jarty is a lecturer in sociology at the University of Toulouse 2 Jean Jaurès. She is also a researcher within the SAGESSE pole of CERTOP (Center for Study and Research, Work Organizations and Power). Specializing in the sexual division of labor, her research is at the crossroads of the sociology of gender, professions and public policies.
Her thesis, defended in 2010, focuses on the work-family life balance among secondary school teachers in France and Spain.
