Biography

Claudia Schweitzer has a doctorate in language sciences (Paris 3) and in musicology (Oldenburg, Germany). She belongs to the Praxiling laboratory (UMR 5267 CNRS) at Paul Valéry University, Montpellier 3 and to the HTL - Histoire des Théories Linguistiques laboratory (UMR 7597 CNRS) at the University of Paris and the Sorbonne Nouvelle University. His work focuses on the history of speech description, spoken and sung voices, the particularities of the different styles of baroque music and the socio-cultural history of 17th and 18th century musicians.
