Biography

Aude Bernheim is a researcher at INSERM in genetics and microbial genomics. An agricultural engineer, she completed her thesis in microbiology at the Institut Pasteur, then trained at the Weizmann Institute. Her research is interested in the way in which bacteria defend themselves against their virus (phages) which led her to study, for example, CRISPR-Cas9 or to discover new anti-viral molecules. She also campaigns for more diversity and inclusion in science through various associative commitments.
