Biography

Mathilde Legrand has a doctorate in robotics. After a master's degree in bioengineering, she did a thesis on the control of prosthetic arms for amputees at the Institute of Intelligent Systems and Robotics (Paris). She proposed an original and innovative control, based on compensation movements. This work was notably rewarded by the Young Talents France prize from the L'Oréal-UNESCO Foundation in 2020. Mathilde Legrand is passionate about rehabilitation robotics, which combines scientific research, ethics and sharing with medical experts.
