Biography

Bérénice Hamidi is a professor of theater studies and a member of the Institut Universitaire de France. His research intersects sociology, aesthetics and cultural studies from an intersectional perspective. She is interested in the political issues of cultural representations (theater, cinema, series, novels). How do the works reproduce / transform the relations of domination? Why do public theater and cinema operate as a sounding board for the controversies that stir up political and media debate (blackface, rape culture, etc.)?
