Anne Cécile Mailfert is a French feminist activist and writer. She has been the founding president of the "Fondation des Femmes" since 2016. It is the first French public fundraising structure dedicated to raising funds to develop and support actions in favor of women's rights. On May 25, 2018, she obtained the first conviction pronounced on the basis of public insult on the grounds of sex, an offense created in 2004 but which had never been applied in France until then.
