Biography

Lamia Mounavaraly comes for a French overseas territory, Reunion Island. She started advocating against GBV back on her island and on gender equality and access to economic rights for women during her studies. She was designated as the French delegate at the G(irls)20 Summit in 2020, a forum where young women presented a communiqué urging G20 leaders to include women in their economic recovery plans. She's focused on the specificities of overseas territories when it comes to gender equality public policies in France and has been designated to sit at the High Council for Gender Equality.
