Nina Van Eekert holds a bachelor in social work, master in sociology and PhD in both sociology and health sciences. She does research on sexual and reproductive health (e.g. female genital cutting, contraceptives, abortion). Moreover, she researches mental health within the student population. She has published several articles in highly ranked A1 journals and strongly values accessible science communication.
