Biography

Coralie Morand is an anthropologist, specialist in the genocide in Guatemala and the use of rape as a weapon of war in the Maya region of Ixil. Her doctoral thesis focuses on the memory of the armed conflict and on the place of Ixil Mayan women in post-genocide social reconstruction. She has also worked and campaigned with several associations involved in the protection of human rights in France and Latin America.
