Biography

Lucile Biarrotte, a former student of the École Normale Supérieure in Paris, has a doctorate in urban planning from the University of Paris Est. She published her thesis Deconstructing the gender of thoughts, norms and practices of urban planning defended in 2021. She created the UrbaGenre mailing list and several Zotero collaborative bibliographies around Gender and urban planning. She is co-founder of the GenrEspace young researchers workshop and a member of UN Habitat's GenderHub. She now works in the town planning consultation agency TraitClair.
