Sarah Martin has over 25 years of experience in humanitarian response. She is a consultant who specializes in strengthening prevention and response to gender-based violence and addressing sexual exploitation and abuse in humanitarian and development settings. She is the author of Must Boys be Boys? Ending Sexual Exploitation and Abuse by UN Peacekeepers and ‘Stranger Danger’ and the Gendered/Racialised Construction of Threats in Humanitarianism. She is currently co-facilitator of the global GBV AOR Community of Practice and a member of the GBV AOR Helpdesk Roster of GBV Experts.
