Marion Philip is a historian, specialist in the history of sexualities and masculinities during the modern period. Doctor of Sorbonne University, her work focuses on the history of "heterosexuality" and what she says about the power relations between men and women, but also about male hierarchies. Its perspective is that of a social history of masculinities. The Parisian judicial archives allow him to investigate the practices, discourses, and expectations surrounding male sexuality in the 17th and 18th centuries.
