Lucía Chávez is the Executive Director of the Mexican Commission for the Defense & Promotion of Human Rights, a member organization of FIDH. Lawyer, she graduated with honors from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Since 2008 she has been working in the field of human rights particularly in research and international litigation. She is author and co-author of books and academic journal articles. She has participated in conferences, training and diploma courses related to human rights, security, justice, gender, feminisms, international law and transitional justice.
