Aleydis Nissen is a researcher in international, European and human rights law. After specializing in human rights violations by non-Western multinationals, she focused her research on gender barriers to justice. She is currently the coordinator of the course ‘women’s rights’ in the master’s programme European and international human rights law at Leiden University. She is a member of the Belgian Institute for Tax Advisors & Accountants' Sustainability Working Group and a substitute member of the Flemish Human Rights Institute's Board of Directors.
