Sandra Barrère has a doctorate in comparative literature and is a researcher associated with the Plurielles team (Bordeaux Montaigne) and a referent for equality between girls and boys (Bordeaux). She is also a campaigner for urban ecology. Her research focuses on the links between literature, history and politics. With J.P. Engélibert, she has coordinated Politicité de la littérature et des arts contemporains, and contributed to several collective works. Her latest work, at the crossroads of postcolonial and gender studies, focuses on the Sabra and Shatila massacre.
