Biography

Historian and university professor in contemporary history, Raphaëlle Branche is a specialist in war violence and colonial violence, in particular between France and Algeria. She is also the author of several documentaries.
She has also written on memory issues between France and Algeria and conducted a vast survey on the place of the Algerian war in the constitution of French families since 1954.
It is also involved in issues of access to public archives in France.
