Sophie Pochic

Biography

Sophie Pochic is a sociologist specialized in labour and gender inequalities, director of research at CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research). She has published on the mechanisms that reproduce the glass ceiling effect and wage inequalities in large companies, unions and the public service. She is interested in measures aimed at denouncing and preventing discrimination in the workplace, from courts to equality/diversity policies, including measurement tools and negotiated agreements. She is a member of the MAGE network and of the journal Travail, Genre et Sociétés.
