Jane Freedman is a professor at the University of Paris 8 and Director of the CRESPPA-GTM research team. She has been a consultant on gender equality at Unesco, consultant for UNHCR, the Council of Europe - and for NGOs (CARE, Save the Children ...). She has published in English and French on gender and political issues, migration and migration policies, refugee "crisis", violence against women and armed conflict. Her current work focuses on gender-based violence, migration and refugees, and armed conflict.
