Renée Dray-Bensousan is an historian and researcher. She operates within the framework of the TELLEME joint research unit (Time, Spaces, Languages, Southern Europe - Mediterranean, Aix-Marseille University). She is a specialist in the history of women in Marseille. Her current work focuses on the lives of women in concentration camps. She is also president of the French association ARES (Association for Shoah Research and Education).
