Biography

Catherine Scornet is a lecturer in sociology and demography at Aix-Marseille University and a researcher at the LPED. She is interested in the links between politics and social change and seeks to show how states accompany demographic and family changes. She defended her doctorate in demography at the Sorbonne entitled "Fertility and politics in the Red River Delta (Vietnam)". Her current research focuses on two areas: contemporary demographic issues in Southeast Asia, and youth, gender and sexuality in Vietnam.
