Biography

Cécile Michel is an Assyriologist and research director at the CNRS. Deciphering the cuneiform tablets of Mesopotamia, she focuses her research on economy, society, gender history, daily life, material culture, writing and arithmetic practices. In addition to numerous scientific publications, she has been involved in the dissemination of knowledge and is part of the supervisory team of the Maison d'Initiation et Sensibilisation aux Sciences de la Diagonale Paris-Saclay.
