Biography

Sandrine Wallez is the founder of ACTIV (Alternative Communities Trade in Vanuatu). The local association seeks to empower small producers and community groups in economic, social and environmental terms through the concept of solidarity trade. Sandrine Wallez is also the director of Aelan Chocolate Makers, the artisanal chocolate factory which helps cocoa producers in the archipelago to improve the quality of cocoa and generate better income.
