Biography

Clotilde Moynot trained in theater in France and in the United States, with A.Vitez, A.Mnouchkine, A.Voutsinas, P.Chéreau, T.Kazanoff. Her career as an actress began with various contemporary creation companies in the theater and on the street, in France and abroad. In 1990, she founded the company Pièces Montées, where she has since developed a poetic and political theatrical art, centered on the actor's body, music, movement, and contemporary speech in all its forms. In 2005, she founded the artistic collective Femmes de Plume , with the aim of promoting the theatrical writings of women and renewing female representations on the stage. Since 2006, she has been a member of the independent reading committee À Mots Découvertes , another artistic collective that supports the work of living authors through the organization of public writing and reading projects. Since 2009, the Cie Pièces Montées has been located in a district falling under the City Policy in Paris 20th district. Clotilde Moynot leads artistic co-creation projects with the inhabitants there.
