Biography

After her master's degree in law and having worked as a lawyer, she became legal advisor at the Centrale des Métallos (General Labour Federation of Belgium, FGTB) in 2006. Selena Carbonero Fernandez is assistant secretary at the Liège-Huy-Waremme section of the Centrale Générale FGTB since May 2019. Specializing in labor law and social dialogue, she has been involved in the fight for equality between women and men since 2010. As a feminist trade unionist, she was elected president of the FGTB Wallonia Women's Bureau on May 28, 2018.
