Biography

Odile Roynette is professor of contemporary history at Bourgogne – Franche-Comté University and associate researcher at CESPRA (EHESS). Specialist in military worlds (19th-20th centuries), his work focuses on the history of military service in France and in Europe, on the history of gender and masculinities as well as on the cultural history of the First World War. She is also a member of the editorial board of the Revue d'histoire du XIXe siècle and member of the scientific council of the International Research Center of the Historial de la Grande Guerre (Péronne) .
