Marion Maudet has a doctorate in sociology from the EHESS. Her thesis, entitled "Secularization, gender, sexuality. Catholics and Muslims in search of meaning (France, 1970s - 2010s", focuses on the recent dynamics of secularization in France, based on the evolution emotional and sexual behavior of young Catholics and Muslims. She is particularly interested in the interweaving of social relations of gender, race and class and the articulation between norms, discourses and practices .
