Biography

Céline Zaepffel is a researcher in French-speaking literature, specializing in children's literature. Her thesis, defended in the summer of 2021, focuses on the uses of illustrated fables in French schools (1500-2020). She is interested in the text-image relationship in children's literature, in the uses of literature in the classroom, in the role of tradition in school curricula, and more broadly in popular culture and the question of gender in youth media. She can intervene (in French or in English) on questions linking literature (1500-2020) and education.
