Biography

Ms. Onumba-Bessonnet is the Director at LOBA, a nonprofit that uses art as a tool for social activism in France and in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Loba means “express yourself” in Lingala, the language of the Congo. Ms. Onumba-Bessonnet is a victimologist specialized in sexual violence in war zones. She leads LOBA and oversees the “Re-Creation” project composed of the health and engagement sections that uses art, dance, as a tool for the health of women victims of violence.
