Vanina Géré, former student of ENS-Lyon, associate professor of English, holds a doctorate in art history and American studies from Université Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris 3 (2012). Her doctoral thesis focused on the work of the American visual artist Kara Walker (winner of the 2013 Prize of the Chancellerie des Universités de Paris). She is the author of The Bad Feelings - The Art of Kara Walker, published by Les Presses du Réel in 2019. A specialist in contemporary American art, she teaches at the Villa Arson and works as an art critic and translator of writings on art.
