Isabelle Algrain holds a doctorate in History, arts and archeology from the Université libre de Bruxelles and holds a master's degree in gender studies. Scientific collaborator at the CReA-Patrimoine of the ULB, she is a specialist in Greek ceramics from the archaic and classical periods. His doctoral thesis, published in 2014, was awarded the Joseph Gantrelle Prize by the Royal Academy of Belgium. She is also interested in the archeology of gender and the question of the representation and identity construction of women and men in ancient Greece.
