Biography

Samira Houari-Laplatte, journalist and documentary maker, collaborates with media linked to the Maghreb such as Jeune Afrique, Le Courrier de l'Atlas .... Specialist in colonial history in Algeria, she co-directed a documentary film on Germaine Tillion , ethnologist and his actions against torture during the Algerian war. The documentary film: The affair of my life. Women in the Algerian War, traces the involvement of women in this violent era. She is also invested in the condition of women in Algeria and those of the diaspora in France.
