Biography

Kharoll-Ann Souffrant is a social worker, speaker, columnist, essayist, lecturer at the University of Montreal and a doctoral student in social work at the University of Ottawa. She is a Vanier and Fulbright Fellow. In 2020, she was named a United Nations Fellow for People of African Descent. A multi-award-winning speaker, she specializes in the issue of waves of denunciations of sexual violence on the web (eg: #MeToo). She is also interested in black feminisms, the fight against sexual assault and the culture of rape.
