Biography

After an internship with Equipop as an Advocacy Assistant, Julia Heres Garcia worked in Vietnam as a Project Assistant with the NGO Batik Int. Back in France, she became a social worker in a shelter for homeless women before working for Oxfam as a Gender and Global Health Advocacy Officer for several months. She now works at the Egaé group as Project officer in charge of the development of the platforms genderexperts.org and Expertes Sénégal. She co-hosts a podcast on the fight for the right to abortion in Latin America: "¡Basta Ya! - Les voix de la lutte."
