Silvia Gagliardi holds a PhD in Human Rights (2018) from the Irish Centre for Human Rights, National University of Ireland, Galway. She publishes on issues relating to sexual and gender-based violence, indigenous peoples’ rights as well as the rights of minority and indigenous women. Her doctoral dissertation was published by Routledge in 2020 as a book monograph titled “Minority Rights, Feminism and International Law: Voices of Amazigh Women in Morocco”. Prior to joining UCD Sutherland School of Law, Silvia worked for over ten years for various INGOs and IOs incl. UN OHCHR and the OSCE.
