Mathilde Leïchlé is a doctoral candidate in History and Art History at the University of Paris (CERILAC) and in charge of studies and research at INHA. After being interested in the type of the repentant sinner, in courtesans and in the cult of Mary Magdalene, she is now working on images and imaginations of sexual violence against women in 19th century France (1857-1908). Passionate about the relationship between museums, mediation and research, she also works regularly with contemporary artists as an art critic and curator.
